The Puhoi Cottage is one of the oldest Tea Rooms in New Zealand, and it is the oldest tea rooms in New Zealand still serving Devonshire Cream Teas; A large scone served warm, with jam and freshly whipped cream, and a drink of your choice. All of our teas are leaf teas where possible. We have chosen a Ceylon leaf tea by Dilmah as our House tea because it goes best with our water ("The art or making proper tea"). We also serve Twining s English Breakfast and Earl Grey leaf teas and herbal teas.

Part of the history of the Puhoi valley, the Puhoi Cottage was 100 years old on the 15th August 2007. It has been a registered Tea Room now for 32+ years, and was probably operating before that for a few years. We bake everything except for the pies in our little bake house. More importantly all the recipes are handed down from owner to owner. Your visitors will find this a place to remember and to tell their friends about.
